FOORMULA ONE RACE TICKETS |
Welcome to Turkey! Our TravelShop Turkey staff will meet you at the airport. There are 2 Airports in Istanbul. Ataturk Airport and Sabiha Gokcen Airport. Ataturk airport is on the European side, and approx 25km from Istanbul City Centre. Sabiha Gokcen is approx 80km from Istanbul Asian side. Ataturk Airport transfers are included in our tour prices. Sabiha Gokcen transfers are an additional cost. There are 2 different categories for airport transfers.. Standard and VIP private transfers. You can see the prices of these transfers below. Please let us know your full flight details (date, time, flight number and airline, and airport!) so we can arrange direct transfers from the Airport to the Hotel and return. HOW CAN I GET MY RACE TICKETS? |
Welcome to the Istanbul Formula One Grand Prix! The race track is approximately 90km away from the Taksim and Sultanahmet areas. We have 2 different race transfer services, a standard seat on coach basis, and Private VIP luxury transfers. Standard transfers include the areas of Sultanahmet and Taksim Square. If you are staying in another area, please inform us and we will try to accommodate for your needs also. All our transportation is air-conditioned and driven by professional drivers and English guides. We will provide pick up and drop off times so you are ready for the transfers. You can book our transfers on our website, regular or private, and we will arrange your Formula One race transfers for you.

TravelShop Turkey provides some famous daily tours to visit Istanbul and surrounding areas while you are in Turkey for the Grand Prix. Full day City tours of Istanbul are available, Topkapi palace, Hagia Sofia, Grand and Spice Bazaar Shopping, cruise the Bosphorous, pop over to Princes Island, take a Turkish bath, experience a night of Turkish entertainment and traditional cuisine. ANY RESTAURANTS AVAILABLE AT THE FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX GROUNDS? |
There are plenty of snack bars selling kebabs, potaotes, sandwiches etc as well as water and soft drinks, alcohol that are served during the event or the surronding areas.

SINGLE SUPPLEMENT TRAVELLERS |
We have many customers who travel alone. If you don�t mind sharing your room with another traveller then we can arrange a twin share, we will not charge you for single supplement.

TOUR GUIDES |
You will be assisted by a fluent English speaking professional tour guide who is deeply knowledgeable of Turkey and the race events.

ENTRANCE FEES |
Entrance fees make up to approx 30% of the tour cost. All entrance fees mentioned in the itinerary are included in the tour price and will be paid for by TravelShop Turkey.

TRANSPORTATION |
Air-conditioned coach transportation throughout your tour, with a TV. All drivers are professionally licensed. Our buses have a maximum of 40 people so that the bus will not be over crowded.

ANY LAST MINUTE BOOKINGS? |
With regards to last minute bookings if you have any friends wishing to join our tours we will do our best to make sure that you will be on the same tour bus, however due to the high volume of customers this can not always be done so we recommend that you all book together.

SHOPPING |
You will have plenty of time throughout your tour to visit the local shops. Istanbul isn�t always the best place to shop! It is the best place to bargain however. If there is something in particular you are looking for, please ask your tour guide and they will advise you on the best place to go. If you are booking an Anatolian tour, Carpet, leather and jewellery shopping is best done in Kusadasi/Ephesus where you will visit the factories, also learn a lot more about the product from the factory guides.

EARLY ARRIVALS |
If you are arriving in Turkey a few days prior to tour start date, we are more than happy to arrange transfers and accommodation for you. This will not be included in the itinerary cost. Additional costs will be advised once further information is given by the customer.

OPTIONAL TOURS |
Welcome Party, Turkish 1001 Night in Istanbul, Bosphorus Cruise, Turkish Bath, Cappadocia Turkish Night, Ballooning in Cappadocia, Kusadasi and Ephesus Daily Tour, and many more. These are optional due to the fact not everybody is interested in these activities. That way the customer is not charged for something they do not wish to do. The optional tours are at very reasonable prices each of themare highly recommended! However these are also non refundable so please make sure that you are able to attend these activities before booking.

EARLY BIRD DISCOUNTS |
Early birds discounts are available on some scheduled guided group tours, for prices listed on our website:
10 months in advance, you will be entitled to 20% discount
8 months in advance, you will be entitled to 15% discount
6 months in advance, you will be entitled to 10% discount
4 months in advance, you will be entitled to 5% discount
To check out on which tours these discounts apply to, check our prices section on the website. Note that we must receive your booking form and 25% deposit in order to secure your discounted rate. The remaining balance of your tour must be paid a minimum of 4 weeks before your tour start date.

VISAS |
Depending on your nationality or passport, you will be able to purchase a visa when you arrive at the airport in Turkey. Please however confirm this with your national embassy, as some nationalities require this to be done in advance. Australia and England are charged approx £10 GPB on arrival, New Zealand is able to enter free of charge. Please note that this fee maybe subject to change.

MONEY |
We use New Turkish Lira. Although in a lot of places they will accept US, EURO or GBP. We recommend that exchanging to lira will save you money and confusion. There are many change offices throughout Turkey, along with ATM machines for you to withdraw also. Most shops will accept your credit cards.

Our tour staff are very friendly, approachable and have traveled extensively through Turkey and the rest of the world. They will be at hand to help you with anything you need, as they have been through it all before!
